Denton, Md. - Founder of
Tanglewood
Conservtories, Alan Stein - known for designing elegant one-of-a-kind custom
conservatories,
greenhouses
and botantical pavilions, has been invited to address the German Association
of Wintergarden Manufacturers (Wintergarten Fachverband)
at the association's annual dinner in Hamburg Germany on June 19th. Tanglewood has been
asked to share images from their exquisite
conservatory
portfolio and to discuss the techniques and materials used to construct the
turn-of-the-century glass masterpieces they are best known for.
Chairman of the Wintergarten Fachverband association, Franz Wurm
says he became smitten with Tanglewood's quality and diverse range of work and
set out to learn more about the company, the founders and the craftsmen of the
Tanglewood atelier.
Otherwise known as "Wintergartens" in Germany, conservatory design
flourishes in Germany and Austria with a more contemporary flair and special
attention to state-of-the-art engineering.
Tanglewood will present and speak with members of the
Wintergarten Association as tribute to these ingenious glass creations and the
remarkable legacy that serves as inspiration to both American and European designers.
