This video depicts the installation of a large steel frame ridge skylight onto the roof of an older home in a mature residential district in New Jersey. The skylight caps the top of a new kitchen addition with a cathedral ceiling.
The skylight is delivered to the jobsite completely assembled and then hoisted into place with a medium sized truck crane. The short video is an interesting look at an unusual construction operation.
The custom skylight was designed and fabricated by Tanglewood Conservatories, an American company located in Denton, Maryland.
